I hate it when this happens. I start reading a fic, and it's great, it's just super awesome, the plot is nice and the concept is interesting and I sink an entire day into it, and then, BAM.

My favorite character shows up and is mangled. Or not even my favorite character. Maybe even a character I don't like. Whatever.
